THESIS

MISFIT PRESS

For my own MFA Thesis Project, I worked towards branding my own Risograph Printing Press. I experimented with different names, logo lockups and collateral that would continuously grow into a body of work that would come to represent my love of Risograph Printing

The name “Misfit Press” is inspired by other misfits in pop culture, such as Bart Simpson, Kevin McCallister and other bad-boys. These characters are charming because they’re good at being “bad” in much the same way that every Risograph print is “bad,” or rather imperfect. It is exactly because of these unavoidable imperfections that Risograph prints are unique and endearing.
